Southend on Sea Boys Choir

The choir consists of 80 boys aged 8 and up from Southend and surrounding areas, who audition for their places in the choir. They often join together with Southend Girls Choir for a number of concerts each year and, when senior members of the choir, work on specialised repertoires for performances and recordings. Members frequently perform for corporate organisations and also for charity functions, as part of their role to support the local community, and have also performed at overseas events. There is no requirement to read music but members must have an appreciation of music, be able to sing in tune and be able to make a commitment to the choir.
